Abby Ferguson is a Florida-based fine-art photographer. She holds dual BAs in Photography and Art Education from the University of Kentucky (magna cum laude, 2012) and earned an MFA in Photography from Kansas State University in 2015. Her work explores beauty, memory, and the poetic potential of the everyday.

Abby’s personal and conceptual series — such as The Cost of Forgetting (2015), Forward, and Moments of Light — delve into themes of memory, impermanence, and the evocative power of the mundane. Her visual storytelling spans many categories, though always with an eye toward nuance, narrative, and emotional resonance.

Teaching and mentorship have long been central to Abby’s life. While earning her MFA, she taught studio lighting, film and digital photography, and 2D design at Kansas State. As of spring 2025, she is adjunct faculty at Daytona State College, where she teaches introductory photography. She remains committed to helping photographers grow technically and visually.
